Meet Our team
DR. Kevin Shearer
Dr. Kevin Shearer earned his Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2005. A Michigan native and a Michigan State alumnus, Dr. Shearer moved to Vancouver (WA) in 2007 to establish Quantum Chiropractic. He first discovered chiropractic at a high school career fair and later gained experience with the profession while working for a chiropractic office as a college student. As a child, Dr. Shearer suffered from chronic tonsillitis and was on and off antibiotics until his tonsils were finally removed as a teenager. Feeling that the cause of his problem was never really addressed, he felt an innate connection with the chiropractic philosophy of addressing the cause and not just the symptoms. Dr. Shearer is passionate about getting to the cause of patients’ problems and helping them to achieve true health and wellness.
Dr. Elizabeth Detwiler
Dr. Elizabeth (Ellie) Detwiler earned her Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2006. An Ohio native, she moved to Vancouver (WA) with her husband, Dr. Kevin Shearer, in 2007 to establish Quantum Chiropractic. As a child Dr. Detwiler suffered with chronic ear infections, stomach pain and migraines. Disillusioned with conventional medicine and without answers, she finally found relief under chiropractic care. Ecstatic to have answers and to be pain-free without the use of medication; she decided at a young age on a chiropractic career. Dr. Detwiler believes that true health comes from the inside out. She is passionate about educating patients on healthy living and empowering patients to take an active role in their health and health care. Outside of the office Dr. Detwiler enjoys exploring the northwest with her husband and two sons, Noah and Roan.
Amber (Lucy) Bahena, LMP
Lucy graduated from Everest College in 2015. With a family history of competitive arm wrestling, you could say strong genes run in the family. It did not take Lucy long to realize her strong hands made her really effective at relieving tight and achey muscles. Having the skill to take away pain was incredibly rewarding and quickly became something she loved to do. Lucy is a firm believer that the body has a powerful natural ability to heal itself if it has the tools to do so and uses massage as an effective tool to aid in pain relief and wellness. She specializes in: Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point, Hot Stone, Cupping and Lymphatic Drainage massage.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys cooking, hiking with friends, karoke, arm wrestling strippers, watching documentaries about medicine and nature, game night with the family and spending time with her husband, dog and two cats.
Chrsitine Shinn, LMP
Christine attended Everest College and graduated in 2015. Christine acquired a deep fascination for the muscular system after sustaining an ACL tear. She quickly discovered how one imbalance can impact your entire system. Learning about how each muscle moves, how they are connected and work together and how they antagonize each other has become a passion for her. Christine finds great joy in being able to use her knowledge to improve others well-being. She specializes in: Sports, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Swedish Massage.
Christine enjoys hiking, running spontaneous travel and taco Tuesdays. She really enjoys playing pool (even though she isn’t very good yet)
LaToya McGee, LMP
LaToya is a 2014 graduate of Everest College. She was drawn to massage therapy after suffering from chronic pain following a car accident. She received massage therapy to treat her injury and after noticing a positive change, LaToya was determined to learn more about her body and what she could do to help herself. A kind and caring therapist, LaToya effectively listens to her clients to customize a massage fit for the individual. LaToya specializes in: Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point and Swedish massage. When she is not working (which is rare), LaToya is a Certified Personal Trainer and in her spare time enjoys exploring essential oils and their benefits and spending time with her husband and seven children.
Kala discovered her appetite for holistic health in May 2013 when she began her Bikram’s Yoga Practice at “Bikram Yoga Hazel Dell”. In November of 2014 Kala participated in the Washington State Yoga Competition. Her passion for the series has led her to pursue optimum health at every level: Body, Mind and Spirit. Learning to bend backwards in ways that once seemed impossible has helped Kala to recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy spine. Yoga, body awareness and consistent chiropractic care have allowed Kala to live a balanced happy and healthy lifestyle. She encourages you to join her in this pursuit by scheduling an appointment at Quantum Chiropractic!
